Job summary

Midwest Counseling Center in Baytown, TX is seeking a licensed mental health therapist for a full-time remote telehealth role. You will provide culturally sensitive assessments, individual/family/group therapy, and collaboration with a multidisciplinary team to improve patient outcomes.

The role emphasizes crisis intervention, patient education, and adherence to ethical standards, with a focus on diverse communities and inclusive care through a secure telehealth platform.

Qualifications

• Master’s or doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.
• Licensed LMFT/LPC/LCSW or psychologist in Texas.
• Understanding of mental health disorders and evidence-based treatment.
• Experience with individual and group therapy with culturally responsive practices.
• Crisis intervention skills and ability to stay composed in emergencies.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills for building rapport with diverse clients.
• Experience with electronic health records.
• Commitment to ethics and professional boundaries.
• Ability to work in a multidisciplinary team.

Responsibilities

• Conduct culturally sensitive mental health assessments and develop personalized treatment plans.
• Implement evidence-based therapeutic interventions with attention to cultural backgrounds.
• Provide individual, family, and group therapy sessions.
• Collaborate with psychiatrists, psychologists and other professionals for coordinated care.
• Administer crisis intervention services during emergencies and guide patients to safety.
• Educate patients and families about mental health conditions and resources.
• Maintain confidential documentation in accordance with legal/ethical standards.
• Participate in case conferences and team meetings with insights to improve care.
• Pursue ongoing cultural competency training and evidence-based practices.
