Job summary

South Central Behavioral Health Center seeks a full-time Licensed Mental Health Therapist (LMFT/LMHC/LCSW/LCSW-R) to deliver culturally sensitive mental health care. The role is remote but supports our outpatient team in Buffalo, NY with regular office hours.

Qualifications

• Master’s or doctoral degree from an accredited program in Social Work, MFT, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology.
• Current license as an LMFT, LMHC, LCSW, or LCSW-R in New York state.
• Strong knowledge of mental health disorders and evidence-based treatment models.
• Experience delivering individual and group therapy with culturally responsive approaches.
• Excellent crisis intervention skills and professional ethics in high-pressure settings.

Responsibilities

• Conduct culturally sensitive mental health assessments and develop tailored treatment plans.
• Implement evidence-based interventions adjusted for cultural and individual needs.
• Facilitate individual, family, and group therapy sessions.
• Collaborate with psychiatrists, psychologists, and allied health professionals.
• Provide crisis intervention and ensure patient safety.
• Educate patients and families about mental health and local resources.
