The Therapeutic Horizon Behavioral Health Center seeks a licensed mental health therapist for a full-time remote position in California, serving a diverse client population from home while collaborating with a Long Beach clinic.

The role emphasizes evidence-based therapies, crisis intervention, and coordination with psychiatrists and professionals, with a focus on equity, inclusion, and patient confidentiality in EHR documentation.

Qualifications

• Master’s or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.
• Current and valid license (LMFT, LPCC, LCSW) in California.
• Experience with individual and group therapy in culturally responsive approaches.
• Strong crisis intervention skills and ability to work in high-stress situations.

Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough, culturally sensitive mental health assessments to inform personalized treatment plans.
• Implement evidence-based interventions (CBT, mindfulness, solution-focused therapy).
• Facilitate individual, family, and group therapy sessions.
• Collaborate with psychiatrists, psychologists, and other providers for integrated care.
• Provide immediate crisis intervention and support as needed.
• Educate patients and families about mental health conditions and resources.
• Maintain confidential documentation in line with legal and ethical standards using EHRs.
• Participate in case conferences, team meetings, and cultural competency training.
• Stay updated on research and cultural considerations to improve care.
