Job summary

Diverse Counseling Center in Sacramento, California, is seeking a licensed mental health counselor to join as a full-time telehealth provider. You will assess clients, create personalized, evidence-based treatment plans, and deliver therapy remotely to a diverse client base.

Remote work offers flexibility to work from home or any location, with secure video sessions, comprehensive documentation in EHR, and collaboration with integrated care teams to support client well-being and recovery.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree or higher in a relevant field from an accredited institution.
• Licensed clinician in California (LMFT/LPCC/LCSW).
• 4+ years of clinical or counseling experience.
• Knowledge of mental health disorders and evidence-based therapies.
• Crisis intervention skills and ability to stay calm under pressure.
• Strong communication and rapport-building abilities with clients and families.

Responsibilities

• Conduct initial and ongoing assessments to determine client needs.
• Design and implement personalized, evidence-based treatment plans.
• Provide individual and group therapy for anxiety, depression, and substance use.
• Document progress in EHR and manage appointments.
• Collaborate with care teams including nutritionists and psychiatrists.
• Deliver group therapy sessions when appropriate.
• Stay updated on trends and research in mental health treatment.
