Qualifications

• Master's or Doctoral degree from an accredited institution.
• Current and valid licensure as LCMFT, LMFT, LCPC, or LCSW-C in Maryland.
• Proficient understanding of mental health disorders and culturally competent therapy.
• Experience in individual and group therapy with inclusive practices.
• Strong crisis management skills and ability to handle challenging conditions.
• Excellent interpersonal communication and rapport-building.
• Competence with EHR systems and documentation.

Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive mental health assessments considering diverse client backgrounds to tailor treatment plans.
• Apply evidence-based therapies adaptable to cultural and personal contexts.
• Provide individual, family, and group therapy to address mental health concerns.
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to coordinate comprehensive care.
• Offer crisis intervention during acute mental health emergencies.
• Educate clients and families about mental health disorders, treatments, and resources.
• Maintain accurate, confidential documentation of patient interactions and plans.
• Participate in case conferences and team meetings; advance cultural competence.
• Stay updated on research and best practices relevant to therapy.
