Job summary

Trinity Behavioral Health Center in Frederick, MD, seeks a licensed mental health counselor to join our outpatient team as a full-time remote clinician. Qualifications

• Master's or Doctoral degree in Counseling, Psychology, Social Work, or related discipline.
• Current active state licensure as a mental health therapist (LCMFT/LMFT/LCPC/LCSW-C).
• Demonstrated strength in clinical assessment and diagnostic abilities.
• Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills to engage effectively with clients and team members.
• A compassionate and empathetic approach to therapy, with a strong commitment to client welfare.
• Ability to operate independently while also thriving in a collaborative team setting.
• Thorough understanding of ethical considerations and regulations governing mental health practice.
• A commitment to ongoing professional education and the pursuit of clinical excellence.

Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough assessments to evaluate clients' mental health status and emotional well-being, employing standardized tools and clinical interviews as necessary.
• Design and implement personalized treatment plans tailored to the unique needs and goals of each client, utilizing a range of therapeutic modalities.
• Deliver evidence-based therapeutic interventions across various formats, including individual therapy, couples counseling, and group sessions, to effectively address a range of mental health issues.
• Monitor client progress, providing ongoing evaluation and adjustment of treatment plans, documenting all changes in a timely and accurate manner in our electronic health record (EHR) system.
• Provide crisis intervention support to clients experiencing acute distress or emergencies, ensuring their safety and well-being.
• Maintain stringent adherence to confidentiality and legal standards regarding client records and documentation.
• Collaborate closely with a multidisciplinary team, including psychiatrists, social workers, and wellness coaches to develop and execute comprehensive care plans.
• Engage in ongoing professional development activities, including attending workshops and conferences, to stay current with trends and advancements in mental health treatment.
• Participate in regular supervision and peer reviews to enhance clinical skills and ensure the delivery of high-quality care.
• Abide by ethical guidelines as established by mental health licensing boards and the American Psychological Association.
