Job summary

DaMar Staffing is seeking a remote, full-time Indiana Licensed Coder III to abstract and code diagnoses and procedures from Facility Inpatient medical records, supporting accurate patient care documentation and hospital reimbursement.

Responsibilities include coding in the assigned systems, entering data for reimbursement, and collaborating with CDI staff to ensure DRG capture; requires CPC/CPC-A/CCA/RHIT/CCS credentials and ICD-10-CM/PCS proficiency.

Qualifications

• Knowledge and experience with Facility Inpatient medical record coding.
• Proficiency in ICD-10-CM/PCS coding and applicable coding guidelines.
• Current coding credentials such as CPC, CPC-A, CCA, RHIT, or CCS.
• Understanding of the healthcare revenue cycle and hospital reimbursement (preferred).
• Ability to maintain productivity and quality standards in a healthcare coding environment.

Responsibilities

• Abstract and code diagnoses and procedures from Facility Inpatient medical records using assigned classification systems.
• Enter accurate coding information into the computerized abstracting system for hospital reimbursement and patient care evaluation.
• Collaborate with Clinical Documentation Improvement (CDI) staff to ensure accurate capture of DRG and ROM/SOI for each patient.
