Job summary

Centaris is seeking a Level 2 Help Desk Technician to join a collaborative team supporting clients across the Great Lakes region. The role emphasizes solving technical issues across workstations, servers, cloud services, and networking, with strong customer service and communication skills.

The successful candidate will be highly organized, motivated, and able to work remotely from Michigan. IT degree or certifications and knowledge of AD/DNS/DHCP are preferred.

Qualifications

• IT-related degree and/or professional IT certifications or equivalent experience.
• Natural curiosity/interest in technology.
• Ability to install, configure, upgrade, and troubleshoot client-server apps.
• Advanced understanding of OS, business apps, printing, and networking.
• Basic firewall knowledge.
• Experience with AD, DNS, DHCP, IIS, and RDS.
• Knowledge of server virtualization and shared storage.
• LAN/WAN, printing, and Wi-Fi basics.
• Remote Access & VPN/Terminal Services support.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot and resolve hardware/software issues for Microsoft-based applications.
• Provide basic network support for ISP/LAN, routers, switches.
• Document all work as service tickets and ensure prompt resolution.
• Participate in on-call rotation.
• Collaborate with service delivery to manage work availability.
