Job summary

DocketX is seeking an engineer to work between writing code and direct customer interaction. This remote role involves deploying DocketRouter, configuring it in customer environments, and explaining verification workflows to lawyers and stakeholders.

You will travel to customer sites, collaborate with law firms and in-house teams, and feedback learnings to improve the product and its corpus.

Qualifications

• Experience building and shipping software with customers directly involved.
• Comfort with APIs and reading published API docs.
• Ability to explain technical systems clearly to non-engineers such as lawyers.
• Willingness to travel to customer offices regularly.
• Interest in legal research, court records or structured document domains.

Responsibilities

• Build real-time inference for law firms: stand up the drafting and research pipelines a firm runs live on our stack.
• Work with customers to build inference that meets their business needs, from scoping to deployment.
• Collaborate with managing partners, general counsel and litigation leads to understand workflows.
• Deploy and configure DocketRouter in customer environments, including state law bundles.
• Explain how citation verification and audit trail work to technical and non-technical customer teams.
• Travel to customer sites for scoping sessions, deployments and training.
• Report customer needs and failure cases back to engineering to improve product and corpus.
