Job summary

CACI International seeks a Legacy Payroll Systems Analyst to support a federal shared services payroll modernization. You will engage in discovery, fit-gap analysis, design and configuration, data migration, interface development, testing and cutover through hypercare, enabling a cloud-based solution for 605,000 employees.

Qualifications

• Must be a U.S. citizen and able to obtain Public Trust clearance.
• All work is performed from within the United States and its territories, with customer-approved location.
• Bachelor’s degree and 7+ years of relevant experience; additional experience may substitute for degree.
• 7+ years analyzing legacy mainframe systems, including COBOL that implements business rules and establishes program behavior where documentation is absent or wrong.
• Experience with copybook and record-structure analysis—fixed-width and positional data, PIC clauses, decimals, and fillers.
• Experience extracting data from non-relational sources such as CA IDMS, IMS, Datacom, Adabas or VSAM.

Responsibilities

• Perform application and data analysis of legacy mainframe payroll systems.
• Analyze COBOL programs, copybooks and file structures to document system behavior and data definitions.
• Document business rules and processing logic in legacy applications.
• Analyze reference data and its effect on payroll processing.
• Develop data extracts from legacy data sources.
• Identify active vs obsolete programs, datastructures and interfaces.
• Prepare technical documentation for conversion, integration and functional teams.
• Support conversion and interface teams as legacy source SME.
