Job summary

Cable One is seeking a Lease Accountant to maintain ASC 842 lease schedules and support accurate financial reporting. You will own the end-to-end lease accounting process, including journal entries and balance sheet reconciliations, while coordinating with audit activities and internal controls.

The role supports remote work for qualified candidates in the U.S. and requires a strong foundation in general ledger accounting and attention to detail.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Financial Accounting; and a minimum of one year of practical general ledger accounting experience.
• Experience with ASC 842 lease accounting is highly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Maintains lease accounting schedules in accordance with ASC 842.
• Develops end-to-end understanding of lease accounting processes and controls.
• Prepares weekly/monthly/quarterly analyses and related journal entries.
• Reconciles balance sheet accounts and resolves variances promptly.
• Supports internal and external audit activities, including SOX compliance.
• Completes special projects and analyses as directed by department leadership.
