Job summary

US Foods is seeking an Accounting Manager - Lease to oversee fixed asset and leasing accounting and to lead the staff responsible for accurate and timely financial reporting across divisions.

You will manage month-end close for leases, lease entries, SOX tie-out, and 10-K footnotes, while collaborating with Corporate accounting and cross-functional teams. This remote role supports operations nationwide.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of finance/accounting experience.
• At least 1 year of experience leading projects, process improvements, and/or people.
• Advanced skills in MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).
• Ability to prioritize, organize and multi-task.
• Detail-oriented with accuracy and thoroughness.
• Strong verbal and written communications.
• Analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Independent thinking and proactive process improvement ideas.
• Team player who can lead and collaborate across functions.
• Strong interpersonal skills with ability to interact across levels.

Responsibilities

• Provide leadership to staff to ensure timely delivery of financial information.
• Oversee month and quarter end close process for leases.
• Manage lease entries, reconciliations (Blackline) and rollforwards.
• Handle CoStar exports for journal entries and SOX tie-out.
• Coordinate fleet funding and lease payment reconciliations.
• Support lease footnote preparation for 10-K disclosures.
• Oversee new lease classifications and loading into CoStar.
• Review lease extensions/terminations and maintenance in CoStar.
• Ensure technical accounting controls and procedures are followed.
• Perform analyses to identify potential accounting issues.
• Travel minimal.
