Job summary

Cable One is seeking a detail-oriented Lease Accountant to join our finance team. The role maintains lease accounting schedules, supports end-to-end processes, and prepares analyses and journal entries in support of lease accounting.

Ideal candidates have a Bachelor's in Accounting and at least one year of GL experience, with ASC 842 knowledge and a willingness to support SOX compliance. We offer competitive benefits and a collaborative work environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Financial Accounting; minimum one year of practical GL accounting experience.
• Experience with ASC 842 lease accounting is highly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Maintains lease accounting schedules in accordance with ASC 842.
• Develops understanding of end-to-end lease accounting processes, stakeholders, systems, and controls.
• Prepares weekly/monthly/quarterly analyses and related journal entries.
• Reconciles balance sheet accounts and investigates variances.
• Supports internal and external audit activities, including SOX compliance.
• Completes special projects and analyses requested by department leadership.
• Keeps abreast of FASB, SEC and PCAOB standards affecting reporting.
