Job summary

ORR Protection is seeking a motivated Learning Specialist to support LMS administration, instructional design, and content development for our nationwide teams. This remote role leverages Articulate Storyline/Rise, Camtasia, and other tools to deliver engaging, accessible training that aligns with adult learning principles.

You’ll partner with SMEs, manage LMS configurations, ensure accurate learner records, and develop blended learning solutions including VILT and microlearning.

Qualifications

• 2–5 years of professional experience in Learning & Development, Training, or Instructional Design, required.
• Hands‑on experience administering a Learning Management System (LMS) — including content uploads, user/course management, and reporting, required.
• Demonstrated experience with instructional design and content development, including building courses in authoring tools such as Articulate Storyline, Articulate Rise, or comparable software, required.
• Background or experience within the Fire & Mission Critical industry, preferred.
• Familiarity with video editing or multimedia tools (e.g., Camtasia, Adobe Creative Suite), preferred.
• Experience with SCORM/xAPI standards and LMS integrations, preferred.

Responsibilities

• LMS Administration: serve as administrator for the organization’s LMS, including course uploads, user enrollment, assigning learning paths, and query management.
• Instructional Design & Content Development: design, develop, and update engaging e‑learning courses, job aids, and training materials using authoring tools such as Articulate Storyline/Rise.
• Collaborate with SMEs to translate technical knowledge into learner‑friendly content.
• Update and maintain existing training content to ensure accuracy and relevance.
• Support the development of blended learning solutions (VILT, microlearning, self‑paced modules).
• Stay current on instructional design trends, LMS capabilities, and e‑learning tools.
