Job summary

Cypress HCM is seeking a Multimedia Designer to join a small Learning Solutions team, focused on building, editing, and maintaining online courses. You will transform approved content into polished, engaging experiences using Articulate 360, Storyline, Rise, and Photoshop in a fully remote setup.

The role emphasizes hands-on development, collaboration with instructional designers, and adherence to visual design standards for compliance training content. ET hours preferred.

Qualifications

• Experience building online learning / e-learning content.
• Strong hands‑on experience with Articulate 360.
• Experience with both Articulate Storyline and Articulate Rise.
• Strong Photoshop skills and experience creating/editing graphics for digital content.
• Ability to read and understand written training content and determine appropriate visual treatments and imagery.
• Strong visual design instincts and attention to detail.
• Ability to work from an approved script or storyboard and execute the design/development without needing to own the instructional design process.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills.
• Ability to work effectively in a fully remote team environment.
• Comfortable working with changing priorities and occasionally shifting between projects.
• Strong work ethic and willingness to learn new tools and processes.
• Comfortable working on a Windows PC.

Responsibilities

• Build and update online learning courses using Articulate Storyline and Rise.
• Take completed scripts and instructional content provided by instructional designers and develop the corresponding online course.
• Update existing courses based on approved content changes and track changes.
• Create, edit, and source graphics and imagery to support course content.
• Use Photoshop to modify and prepare images for online learning.
• Select appropriate stock photography and visual assets based on the subject matter and context of the training.
• Work within an internal authoring tool, Course Create, which the team will provide training on.
• Perform occasional basic video editing and video development for select courses.
• Apply good visual design principles to layouts, typography, composition, color, and information presentation.
• Make practical design decisions that support the content without overcomplicating the development process.
• Collaborate with instructional designers and project managers throughout the development process.
• Make updates and priority changes as directed by the project manager.
• Participate in a short daily team huddle to align on projects, priorities, and deadlines.
