Job summary

UNFI is seeking a Learning & Development Partner to lead design, development, and deployment of leadership programs across the enterprise. You will collaborate with L&D colleagues and business stakeholders, using AI-enabled design support to strengthen leader capabilities and tailor materials by function and level.

You will identify talent gaps, measure program effectiveness, and ensure knowledge transfer to associates and leaders.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree preferred or equivalent working experience
• 3-4 years of experience in human resources, learning and development, talent management or a related role
• Experience guiding, developing, and deploying systems and software, process implementations, training, leadership development training and programs, or other skill development deployments, including through AI-enabled learning tools where applicable.
• Strong understanding of adult learning best practices, modern classroom, online and eLearning
• Strong organization and project management skills
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills with emphasis on relationship management, business partnerships and workplace collaboration
• Ability to work on multiple tasks, manage competing priorities, meet deadlines and work independently under minimal supervision
• Lean Six Sigma knowledge preferred but not required.
• Experience in applicable subject matter area of expertise preferred but not required.
• Experience in applicable systems, processes, and tools for both functional knowledge as well as content creation preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Partners with stakeholders to define learning objectives, audience needs, and desired business outcomes; uses available learning resources, templates, and AI-enabled design support to guide the development of leadership programs, materials, and experiences.
• Manages the deployment of leadership development programs, which may include communication development, program management, facilitation, coaching, and measurement and evaluation.
• Tailors communication and training approach to various audiences and learner needs (by function and level)
• Leverages experiential learning best practices (scenario-based learning, storytelling, realistic examples of application, common misunderstanding) to best engage adult learners and ensure successful transfer of knowledge.
• Continues to broaden depth of understanding business functions, leadership development best practices, and blended learning techniques
• Gathers insights and observations on leadership development needs, strengths, and opportunities, as well as the effectiveness of ongoing learning interventions.
• Maintains strong professional relationships with key stakeholders throughout the business to ensure successful transfer of knowledge and upskills.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
