Job summary

United Natural Foods, Inc. (UNFI) is seeking a Learning & Development Specialist to deliver and coordinate instructor‑led and virtual training, ensuring engaging, effective programs for associates across the organization.

The role partners with the L&D team and business stakeholders to execute learning initiatives, maintain records, monitor participation, and support learner experience in a remote work environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree preferred or equivalent work experience.
• 2-4 years of experience in learning and development, training, human resources, education, operations, or a related field.
• Experience coordinating training programs, workshops, or learning events.
• Experience facilitating classroom or virtual learning preferred.

Responsibilities

• Facilitates instructor‑led and virtual learning programs across onboarding, leadership development, systems training, and professional development initiatives.
• Delivers engaging learning experiences that promote knowledge retention and application on the job.
• Observes and coaches trainers to improve facilitation skills and learner engagement.
• Manages learning program logistics including scheduling, enrollment, materials, and reporting.
• Maintains learning records and attendance tracking.
