Qualifications

• Active coding credential must be maintained throughout the contract.
• Minimum 3 years of VHA facility coding experience.
• Experience conducting coding audits and mentoring other coders.

Responsibilities

• Code outpatient and inpatient facility coding including ICD-10-CM, ICD-10-PCS.
• Conduct coding audits and provide feedback to team members.
• Mentor coders transitioning into VA/VHA environments.
