Qualifications

• Minimum of three years of continuous Inpatient coding experience within the VA system.
• Must have active certification such as RHIT, RHIA, CCS, CCS-P, or CPC.
• Experience with VA-specific software is highly preferred.
• Candidates must reside in the Central Time Zone.
• Must be a U.S. Citizen with proficient English communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Review complex inpatient medical records to assign accurate codes.
• Perform data validation of assigned encounters.
• Interface with clinicians for documentation clarification.
• Utilize VA-specific software daily.
• Oversee daily workload distribution as Team Lead.
