Job summary

GE Aerospace seeks an experienced Supplier Quality Engineer (SQE) to drive quality for assigned suppliers, implement quality plans, and own supplier results. The role covers QA and development, supplier audits, and improvement plans, requiring collaboration across engineering disciplines.

The candidate will manage supplier qualifications, monitor performance with scorecards, and lead improvement efforts. Travel up to 50% is expected early on, with growth opportunities within a global aerospace

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree accredited college or university (or a high school diploma / GED with a minimum of 4 years of quality, manufacturing, or supplier quality experience)
• Minimum of 3 years of quality, manufacturing, or supplier quality experience
• Strong oral and written communication skills. Demonstrated ability to analyze and resolve problems.
• Background in supplier quality and supplier management
• Experience in airfoils or structural castings
• Experience managing quality or manufacturing teams

Responsibilities

• Includes both Supplier Quality Assurance and Supplier Quality Development with supplier qualifications, action plans, audits, performance monitoring and assisting suppliers toward standards of excellence.
• Uses in-depth knowledge of quality and/or castings to execute policy and related disciplines.
• Acts as a resource for colleagues with less experience and may lead small projects with low risks.
• Prioritizes information for data analysis and uses technical and analytical thinking to arrive at decisions.
