Job summary

GE Aerospace seeks a Supplier Quality Engineer to drive quality for assigned suppliers, implement quality plans, and lead supplier audits and improvements. You will work with cross-functional teams to ensure compliance and performance excellence.

Responsibilities include managing supplier qualifications, action plans, and performance monitoring, with travel up to 50% in early phases. A strong background in supplier quality and manufacturing is required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree accredited college or university (or a high school diploma / GED with a minimum of 4 years of quality, manufacturing, or supplier quality experience)
• Minimum of 3 years of quality, manufacturing, or supplier quality experience

Responsibilities

• Includes Supplier Quality Assurance and Supplier Quality Development with supplier qualifications, action plans, audits, performance monitoring, and assisting assigned suppliers toward industrial standards of excellence.
• Utilizes in-depth knowledge of quality and/or castings to execute policy and has basic knowledge of related job disciplines.
• Acts as a resource for colleagues with less experience.
• May lead small projects with low risks and resource requirements; communicates information and builds team consensus.
• Follows defined policies while exercising some autonomy in day-to-day decisions.
• Uses judgment to propose solutions outside set parameters to address more complex problems.
• Has ability to analyze data and use internal/external sources to inform decisions
