Job summary

GE Aerospace is seeking a Supplier Quality professional to drive quality for assigned suppliers, implement quality plans, and own supplier results through audits and improvement plans. The role emphasizes collaboration, data-driven decision making, and leadership in supplier quality management.

Candidates should have a strong background in supplier quality, manufacturing, and program execution, with travel up to 50% in the early period.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree accredited college or university (or a high school diploma / GED with a minimum of 4 years of quality, manufacturing, or supplier quality experience)
• Minimum of 3 years of quality, manufacturing, or supplier quality experience
• Travel rate of 50% will be required for first 6 months - 1 year in role. Travel from 25% to 50% thereafter.

Responsibilities

• Includes both Supplier Quality Assurance and Supplier Quality Development. Includes supplier qualifications, action plans, audits, performance monitoring, and assisting assigned suppliers towards industrial standards of excellence.
• Utilizes in-depth knowledge of a quality and/or castings to execute policy. Basic knowledge of related job disciplines.
• Acts as a resource for colleagues with less experience.
• May lead small projects with low risks and resource requirements.
• Jobs at this level function with some autonomy but are subject to functional practices and precedents or are covered by well-defined policies or review of end results.
• Uses some judgment and has the ability to propose different solutions outside of set parameters to address more complicated, day-to-day problems.
• Has ability to prioritize information for data analysis. Uses technical experience and analytical thinking.
