Job summary

Leidos is seeking a Lead Substation Engineer – Technical Project Lead to own the technical delivery of HV/EHV substation EPC projects from concept through energization. You will lead multidisciplinary teams across substation physical, protection and control, SCADA/communications, and civil disciplines.

You will establish the technical approach, drive key design decisions, and ensure an integrated, constructible solution while coordinating with clients and project management.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering from an accredited university.
• PE License required.
• Experience leading HV/EHV substation projects.
• Ability to coordinate multidisciplinary interfaces.
• Knowledge of NEC, NESC, NEMA, IEEE/ANSI standards.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the overall technical lead for HV and EHV substation EPC projects.
• Lead multidisciplinary engineering teams across substation physical, P&C, SCADA/communications, and civil disciplines.
• Establish technical approach, design basis, and execution strategy.
• Provide technical ownership and drive key decisions across disciplines.
• Coordinate interfaces between engineering, suppliers, construction, and clients.
• Oversee design from concept through energization and testing.
