Job summary

Cognizant is seeking a Lead Performance Test Engineer to lead and execute performance engineering initiatives for complex enterprise and cloud-native applications. This hands-on role requires deep expertise in performance testing, automation, cloud platforms, observability, and application resiliency.

Qualifications

• Hands-on experience in performance testing and performance engineering for enterprise applications.
• Experience with NeoLoad or similar enterprise performance testing tools.
• Experience integrating automated performance tests into CI/CD pipelines.
• Hands-on experience with AWS cloud services and cloud-native architectures.
• Programming and scripting in Python, Java, SQL, and shell scripting; testing REST APIs and distributed systems.

Responsibilities

• Design and execute performance, load, stress, endurance, scalability, and capacity-testing strategies for enterprise apps and cloud services.
• Build and maintain automated performance-testing frameworks and automation utilities.
• Integrate performance testing into CI/CD pipelines with automated thresholds and quality gates.
• Analyze performance across application, database, infrastructure, network, and cloud layers to identify bottlenecks and optimization opportunities.
• Leverage observability tools (Dynatrace, AppDynamics, Splunk, Grafana, Prometheus, Elastic Stack) to troubleshoot performance issues.
