Cognizant is seeking a Lead Performance Test Engineer to drive performance testing for complex enterprise and cloud-native apps. You will lead initiatives, implement automated quality gates, and optimize scalability across AWS, observability tools, and CI/CD pipelines.

The role demands hands-on expertise in performance testing, automation, cloud-native architectures, and resiliency planning, with strong collaboration across engineering and SRE teams. Remote to US-based applicants.

Qualifications

• Key contributor overseeing performance testing initiatives.
• Experience with enterprise applications and cloud-native systems.
• Proven ability to design scalable perf testing strategies.
• Strong automation and scripting capabilities.

Responsibilities

• Design and execute perf, load, stress, and capacity tests for enterprise apps and cloud services.
• Build automated performance testing frameworks (NeoLoad and custom solutions).
• Integrate perf tests into CI/CD with thresholds and gates.
• Analyze bottlenecks across app, DB, infra, network, and cloud layers.
• Utilize AWS services and observability tools to troubleshoot performance issues.
• Plan Chaos Engineering and resiliency tests to validate fault tolerance.
• Develop automation utilities (Python, Java, SQL, scripting) to boost efficiency.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to set performance KPIs and capacity plans.
