Job summary

Cognizant is seeking a Lead Performance Test Engineer to drive performance engineering initiatives for complex enterprise and cloud-native apps. This hands-on role requires deep expertise in performance testing, automation, cloud platforms, observability, and resiliency.

You will collaborate with development, platform engineering, DevOps, and SRE teams to set standards, automate gates, and improve scalability. Remote in the United States with flexible work arrangements.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of hands-on performance testing/engineering for enterprise apps.
• Experience with NeoLoad or comparable tools including design, modeling, execution, analysis, reporting.
• Experience integrating automated tests into CI/CD pipelines (GitLab CI/CD or similar).
• Hands-on with AWS cloud services and cloud-native architectures (EC2, ECS, EKS, Lambda, RDS, S3, CloudWatch).
• Programming/scripting in Python, Java, SQL, and shell scripting; testing REST APIs and microservices.

Responsibilities

• Design and execute performance, load, stress, endurance, scalability, and capacity testing for enterprise apps and cloud services.
• Build and maintain automated performance-testing frameworks (NeoLoad, custom solutions).
• Integrate performance tests into CI/CD pipelines with performance gates.
• Analyze app, DB, infra, network, and cloud performance to identify bottlenecks and optimize.
