Job summary

UnitedHealth Group is seeking a Team Lead to coordinate daily support for clinical groups while primarily serving as a Patient Service Representative. This remote MA role requires leadership responsibilities to ensure workflow efficiency and high-quality service.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent work experience.
• Must be 18 years of age or older.
• 3+ years of experience in a customer service role.
• 2+ years of experience in a high-volume call center.
• Experience working in a healthcare office setting.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office applications.
• Knowledge of medical terminology.
• Must be able to work weekends.
• Ability to work Friday, 5:00 - 9:00 pm and Saturday and Sunday 7:30 am - 4:00 pm EST.

Responsibilities

• Exhibits high level of technical skill and functions as resource for other clinical and/or administrative support members.
• Handles upwards of 80 incoming calls per shift.
• Primarily acts as a Patient Service Representative with additional leadership responsibilities.
• Ensures appropriate coverage in case of unplanned absences.
• May cross-train for the Adult Telecom Department as needed.
• Implements operational procedures and may suggest minor changes to standard procedures.
