Job summary

UnitedHealthcare is seeking a Patient Services Representative to support a primary care patient-centered medical home. You will greet and assist patients, schedule appointments, triage calls, and document in the EMR to help the care team coordinate services.

The role includes data entry, patient follow-up, and collaboration with clinicians to ensure efficient, high-quality care. Office-based, five days a week, with a 40-hour schedule.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma/GED required.
• 1+ years as receptionist or admin in a medical facility.
• Basic medical terminology knowledge.
• Basic health care insurance knowledge.
• Proficiency with Word, Excel, Outlook and Teams.
• Able to work full-time Monday-Friday.

Responsibilities

• Make outbound calls to confirm and reschedule appointments.
• Answer calls, record messages in the EMR, and route to the proper team.
• Enter patient data in the EMR and create alerts as needed.
• Create and mail new patient packets and enter information accordingly.
• Check patients in/out at appointment times.
• Collect appropriate fees at time of service.
• Maintain lobby and work area in neat condition.
• Balance cash drawers at end of day.
• Ensure patient privacy and HIPAA compliance.
