Job summary

TEKsystems Lead Patient Account Representative sought to support a team of ~17 collectors handling Medicaid and Blue Cross accounts. This role serves as the primary resource for escalated claims, denial research, payer issues, Epic workflow support, quality reviews, and team guidance.

Responsibilities include acting as the first point of support for collector questions, researching insurance claim issues, monitoring denial trends, reviewing billing edits, assisting with quality audits, HIPAA

Qualifications

• 2+ years of healthcare revenue cycle, billing, or insurance collections experience leadership experience.
• Experience with denial management and insurance follow-up required.
• Strong experience in Medicaid and Blue Cross experience required.
• Epic experience required.

Responsibilities

• Act as the first point of support for collector questions, denials, and escalated accounts.
• Research and resolve insurance claim issues through payer calls and portals.
• Monitor denial trends and identify opportunities for process improvement.
• Review billing edits, claim rejections, and error reports to ensure timely claim submission.
• Assist with quality audits, training, and special projects.
• Maintain accurate account documentation and ensure HIPAA compliance.
• Collaborate with leadership to improve workflows and support team success.
