Job summary

UTMB Health is seeking a Sr. Patient Account Specialist to bill third-party payers and appeal denied professional and hospital claims. You will identify billing issues and take corrective action to ensure timely filing and reimbursement.

The role requires 3+ years in patient accounts and Epic Revenue Cycle experience, with 2–3 years in EPIC PB Resolute preferred. Hybrid schedule, Monday–Friday, 8am–5pm. Strong attention to detail and ability to work in a team are essential.

Qualifications

• Three years of patient accounts experience.
• Two years of Epic Revenue Cycle experience.
• 2-3 years of EPIC PB Resolute experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Billing third-party payers and/or clients for hospital and/or professional patient accounts.
• Resolves payer rejections and follow-up on denied claims.
• Performs online corrections and detailed follow-up on assigned accounts.
• Updates account information in Epic Resolute and processes adjustments.
• Assists in training and mentoring of new employees.
