Job summary

Rocket Software is seeking a Senior Enterprise Engagement Manager to own end-to-end mainframe modernization engagements—planning through migration, cutover and handover—delivering on scope, schedule and margin. You will guide complex delivery across multiple workstreams, coach junior PMs, and contribute templates and best practices to improve Enterprise Services.

The role emphasizes independent leadership and risk management.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of relevant experience delivering technology projects.
• Ownership of engagements end to end with accountability for scope, schedule, cost and quality.
• Experience delivering software implementations or system integrations in complex environments.
• Experience with Fixed Price and Time & Materials contracts and related delivery approaches.
• Strong stakeholder facilitation, written reporting and customer communication skills.
• Ability to work independently under limited supervision and escalate with recommendations.
• University degree or equivalent practical experience.

Responsibilities

• Plan, organize and execute mainframe modernization software delivery engagements from initiation through closeout with high autonomy.
• Manage scope, schedule, budget, quality and risk across multiple concurrent workstreams.
• Lead assessment, discovery, migration, re-hosting and integration with hybrid cloud targets.
• Oversee testing, cutover, rollback readiness and post-go-live stabilization.
• Communicate progress, risks, dependencies and next steps to stakeholders; prepare delivery-ready reports and documentation.
• Coach less experienced project managers and contribute to templates, processes and best practices across Enterprise Services.
