Job summary

Children’s Mercy Kansas City is seeking a Lead IT Systems Application Analyst to design, implement, and maintain complex enterprise applications with a focus on Epic systems. You will lead projects, mentor teammates, and ensure system integration while coordinating with vendors and business units.

The role requires deep technical knowledge, strong communication, and project leadership to support patient care systems across the organization.

Qualifications

• Master's Degree and 3–5 years experience in the user areas to be supported or related fields. Leadership experience preferred.
• or Bachelor’s Degree and 5–7 years experience in the user areas to be supported or related fields. Leadership experience preferred.
• or Associate’s Degree and 7 or more years experience in the user areas to be supported or related fields. Leadership experience preferred.
• or HS diploma or equivalent and 9 years' experience in the user areas to be supported or related fields. Leadership experience preferred.
• At least one Epic certification relevant to the department required within 120 days of hire; must complete Epic training if not already certified.

Responsibilities

• Leads the design and development of complex computer information systems, configurations, software programs, database structures, and network infrastructure.
• Provides end-user support by responding to service desk requests and resolving technical issues; trains end-users.
• Leads cross-functional teams in requirements, design, development and implementation of new systems including Epic and related systems.
• Manages relationships with vendors and external partners; negotiate and communicate effectively.
• Mentors and trains junior team members; demonstrate strong leadership and communication.
