Job summary

Placements24 is seeking a Remote Lead Industrial Systems Integrator to drive the end-to-end integration of MES, ERP, SCADA and IIoT platforms. The role combines senior architectural guidance with hands-on leadership of a remote team, delivering scalable, secure and data-driven manufacturing solutions.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or related field.
• 8+ years of experience in industrial systems integration, MES/ERP and IIoT.
• Proven track record leading remote integration projects and technical teams.
• Knowledge of OPC UA, MQTT, Modbus and data formats like JSON/XML.
• Experience with APIs, scripting and integration platforms; Python proficiency.
• Understanding of Industry 4.0 concepts and cloud data management (AWS/Azure).
• Strong communication, leadership and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead design and implementation of complex industrial systems integration projects across MES, ERP, SCADA and IoT.
• Develop and maintain system architecture diagrams and integration strategies.
• Define data exchange protocols and ensure data integrity across systems.
• Collaborate remotely with clients, PMs and engineering teams to deliver customized solutions.
• Oversee configuration and deployment of middleware and integration software.
• Troubleshoot and resolve integration issues, ensuring system stability.
• Mentor junior engineers and promote best practices in interoperability.
• Stay current with IIoT and Industry 4.0 trends and cybersecurity standards.
• Develop and maintain comprehensive documentation for integrated systems.
