Job summary

GE Vernova seeks a Lead Generator Diagnostics and Robotics Specialist to lead complex electro-mechanical testing, robot-assisted inspections, and generator diagnostics across fossil and nuclear plants worldwide.

You will install, calibrate, and maintain advanced instrumentation, interpret data to assess turbine-generator health, and mentor field teams while ensuring safety, quality and schedule commitments.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or associate with 5+ years field experience.
• Expertise in generator design principles and operation.
• Advanced knowledge of generator monitoring systems (SLMS, PD, shorted turn, sensors).
• Proficiency in torsional vibration measurement techniques and robotic diagnostics.
• Strong analytical skills with sensor-driven data.
• Willingness to travel globally up to 70% (outage seasons).
• Proficient in MS Office, modal analysis software, and data systems.

Responsibilities

• Lead technical execution and field operations for generator testing and SLMS/Torsional measurements.
• Deploy robotic inspection systems and integrate outputs with EMT data.
• Coordinate with regional managers to align workscopes with customer requirements.
• Provide engineering support and develop technical work instructions.
• Lead proposals, costing, and field data documentation.
