Job summary

SES Constructors LLC is seeking a Lead Estimator to join our Civil Construction team. This remote role requires EST/CST work hours and occasional travel. You will prepare detailed estimates from plans, specs, and scopes of work, focusing on self-perform heavy civil tasks.

The position offers a comprehensive benefits package including medical, dental, vision, HSA, FSA, employer-paid life and disability, 401(k) matching, and PTO. Prior federal project experience is a plus.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in construction management or civil engineering.
• Experience with self-perform civil infrastructure estimating is required.
• Ability to read and interpret contract documents, drawings, and specifications.

Responsibilities

• Produce self-perform heavy civil cost estimates based on project size and scope.
• Provide quantity takeoff information and a detailed materials list.
• Identify and vet subcontractor and vendor quotes for best value.
• Identify risks and develop plans to address them.
• Collaborate with field and office teams to prepare estimates.
• Meet interim milestones for constructability and productivity reviews.
• Support constructability reviews with project team and subcontractors.
• Interact with operations post-award for alternates and site condition considerations.
