Job summary

SES Constructors LLC is seeking a Lead Estimator for its Civil Construction business line. This remote role requires EST or CST availability and occasional travel. You will prepare detailed estimates from plans and scopes of work, with a focus on self-perform heavy civil projects.

You should have a bachelor’s degree in construction management or civil engineering, real-world self-perform contracting experience, and proficiency with Bid2Win or HCSS Heavy Bid. Federal project experience is a plus.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in construction management or civil engineering is required.
• Field experience in self-perform contracting of civil infrastructure scopes (earthwork, utilities, dam/levee, pavement).
• Experience estimating federal projects is preferred.
• Ability to read and interpret contract documents, drawings, specs, and schedules; proficient with CPM scheduling and estimating software.

Responsibilities

• Produce self-perform heavy civil cost estimates based on project size, scope, and mix.
• Provide quantity takeoffs and cost assessment.
• Source and evaluate subcontractor and vendor quotes for best value.
• Identify risks and develop mitigation plans with project team.
• Coordinate with field and office professionals to prepare estimates.
