Job summary

OWL Services seeks a Lead Civil Engineer to design, develop, and improve systems, applying scientific and mathematical principles. The role offers long-term opportunity and can be 100% remote, with a strong technical background and collaborative mindset.

The ideal candidate is a licensed Professional Engineer with civil engineering experience, skilled in BIM/Autodesk and AutoCAD, proficient in Microsoft Office, and capable of handling permitting, field investigations, and documentation

Qualifications

• Licensed Professional Engineer with civil engineering experience.
• Experience in site development (grading, storm water, utilities).
• Familiar with vehicular parking design and traffic impact studies.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Email).
• Skilled in BIM and Autodesk products, especially AutoCAD.
• Able to utilize Adobe Acrobat software.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Exceptional time management, accountability, and prioritization skills.
• Self-motivated, goal-oriented, and driven to accomplish department goals.
• Ability to support a fast paced, demanding work schedule; could include late evenings and/or weekends.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and procure permits for building and construction in appropriate jurisdiction.
• Review contractor product shop drawings.
• Respond to contractor requests for information.
• Conduct field investigations of existing conditions for accurate design implementation as well as during construction to assure product quality.
• Prepare project close-out and as-built documentation.
• Research and develop methods and product types to enhance project delivery model.
• Develop company engineering standards of design.
• Prepare product reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing information and trends.
• Maintain product and company reputation by complying with federal and state regulations.
