Job summary

OWL Services is seeking a Lead Civil Engineer to design, develop, and improve civil systems. The role emphasizes a strong technical background, collaboration, and long-term growth within a growing company. This position can be 100% remote.

The successful candidate will oversee permitting, site development, and standards development while ensuring compliance with federal and state regulations. This role requires PE licensure and a proactive, adaptable approach to project delivery.

Qualifications

• Licensed professional engineer with civil engineering experience.
• Experience in site development (grading, storm water, utilities).
• Familiar with vehicular parking design and traffic impact studies.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Email).
• Skilled in BIM and Autodesk AutoCAD.
• Ability to handle a fast-paced schedule with late evenings/weekends.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and procure permits for building/construction in appropriate jurisdictions.
• Review contractor product shop drawings.
• Respond to contractor RFIs.
• Conduct field investigations for accurate design during construction.
• Prepare project close-out and as-built documentation.
• Develop engineering standards of design for the company.
• Prepare product reports by collecting and summarizing information and trends.
• Maintain company integrity by complying with regulations.
