Job summary

HARMAN International is seeking a Software System Architect to lead end-to-end software architecture for Cockpit and Central Compute products. You will align platform software, middleware, and audio systems with performance and safety objectives, while coordinating with OEM teams and suppliers.

Responsibilities include governance of architecture across concept to SOP, driving reuse, and guiding integration strategies. Fluent English and automotive software leadership are essential.

Qualifications

• Minimum bachelor degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or equivalent.
• 10+ years of embedded software development experience and 5+ years in software architecture leadership within automotive products.
• Proven delivery experience supporting OEM production programs.
• Strong hands-on experience with Qualcomm Snapdragon automotive platforms and audio framework capabilities.

Responsibilities

• Own end-to-end software architecture for Cockpit and Central Compute products.
• Define platform software architecture, system decomposition, interface architecture, middleware frameworks, and software component allocation.
• Lead architecture reviews through concept, RFQ, development, DV, PV and SOP phases.
• Establish scalable software platform strategies supporting multiple OEM programs and product generations.
• Drive platform reuse and technology roadmap alignment.
• Guide BSP, middleware, framework, and application integration strategies.
• Collaborate with SoC supplier teams to resolve platform limitations and optimize performance.
