Job summary

HARMAN Automotive is seeking a Principal Engineer to provide technical and applications support for audio and noise management projects with automotive OEMs. You will serve as a SME for customers and internal teams, addressing complex system-level issues and driving successful delivery.

You will work closely with Solution Management, Software Program Managers, and Acoustic Engineers to ensure timely, cost-effective, and high-quality results while traveling up to 10% and operating in a hybrid

Qualifications

8+ years in automotive electronic product development (Audio preferred).
BSEE/BSCE in software or electrical engineering or related field.
Experience with Qualcomm Hexagon DSP and Audio Weaver.
Strong DSP, audio systems knowledge, and embedded software expertise.

Responsibilities

Act as first technical contact for embedded system issues at customer sites.
Debug and root-cause analysis across software/hardware boundaries.
Support audio system testing at customer or third-party sites.
Lead problem statements and escalations for timely closure.
Translate customer requirements into clear inputs for engineering teams.
Communicate architecture solutions clearly to customers.
Provide tuning support and technical guidance within local time zone.
Collaborate with Engineering, Product, and Customer teams to build long-term relationships.
