Job summary

HARMAN Automotive is seeking a Product/Platform Software Architect to define the software architecture for telematics, infrastructure, or cyber security products. You will drive requirements, design, development, and successful product launch across a connected vehicle ecosystem.

You will lead a cross-functional team, influence architecture decisions, and explore innovative technologies in AI and connectivity to shape the product roadmap. Flexible work options are available.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in electrical/electronics, communications, computer engineering or a similar discipline.
• 10+ years of product development, embedded software and connectivity tech experience.
• Deep Telematics and communications expertise with embedded, cloud/edge and mobile apps.
• Proven record in system design and architecture.
• Strong understanding of software system building blocks and Linux kernel.

Responsibilities

• Define software architecture and drive development for Connectivity SBU products.
• Lead Telematics software solutions for next-gen needs and IP evolution.
• Develop end-to-end solutions with clear specs, concepts of operations, and costs.
• Lead hands-on prototyping, testing, optimization, and troubleshooting.
• Communicate architecture decisions to internal and external teams.
