Job summary

Harman International in Carlsbad, CA is seeking an experienced Embedded Software Engineer to design, develop, test, and deliver cutting-edge digital audio products. You will work with an agile team to create robust software for embedded processors running Linux, using C/C++, and modern build systems.

The role requires strong problem-solving skills, 5+ years in embedded software and experience with RTOS, Linux, and hardware interfaces.

Qualifications

• BS or MS in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Math, Physics or equivalent technical degree.
• 5+ years of software engineering experience with embedded systems.
• 3+ years experience with SVN, GIT or equivalent software version control.
• 3+ years using the C programming language.
• 3+ years using the C++11 or later programming language.
• 3+ years working in a Linux software development environment.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop efficient, bug free software.
• Follow a disciplined Agile/Scrum process with estimation, design, and testing.
• Collaborate with SMEs to produce requirements and solutions.
• Analyze existing software to debug and troubleshoot issues.
