Job summary

HARMAN Automotive is seeking a Software Engineer to design and develop new software, from prototyping to testing, using C++ and QT/QML. You will collaborate with system engineers to ensure models reflect requirements and participate in code reviews to maintain quality.

You should have a BS in Electronics and E&TC or related field, 2–5 years in model-based software development, and strong problem-solving and communication skills.

About the Role

As a Software Engineer, you will contribute to the design and development of new software—ranging from prototyping and writing functional code to testing and implementation. This role will leverage your knowledge of programming languages and databases. You will collaborate with the team to support various stages of the software development life cycle. In this role, you will report to the Engineering Manager.

What you will do

1. Develop software models using C++, modern C++
2. Knowledge of QT/QML
3. Collaborate with system engineers to ensure that software models accurately reflect system behavior and requirements.
4. Participate in code reviews, testing, and debugging activities to maintain high software quality standards.
5. Stay up-to-date with the latest advancements in model-based development techniques and tools.

What Makes You Eligible

1. Bachelor’s degree in Electronic and E&TC Engineering, or a related field.
2. 2-5 years of experience in model-based software development.
3. Proficiency in C++ development
4. Strong understanding of software engineering principles and best practices.
