Job summary

WeCare Behavioral Health & Consulting Clinic in Galveston, TX is seeking licensed mental health counselors for a full-time position that combines remote work with in-person sessions at our outpatient office when needed. You will conduct assessments, develop treatment plans, and provide evidence-based therapies such as CBT and DBT to diverse clients.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in psychology, social work, or counseling.
• Active LCSW license in Texas.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Strong interpersonal and communication abilities.

Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough mental health assessments, including psychosocial evaluations and risk assessments, to inform initial treatment plans.
• Develop tailored treatment plans considering clients' backgrounds and goals.
• Implement evidence-based therapies (CBT, DBT, solution-focused brief therapy) in individual, couple, family, and group settings.
• Provide crisis intervention services and collaborate with other healthcare professionals for continuity of care.
• Maintain accurate clinical documentation, including progress notes and discharge summaries, per standards.
• Educate clients and families on mental health topics to empower management of conditions.
• Collaborate with psychiatrists, nurses, and case managers for comprehensive care.
• Regularly evaluate treatment effectiveness and adjust plans as needed.
• Stay updated on research and best practices in mental health.
