Job summary

New Hope Counseling Services seeks a dedicated Mental Health Therapist (LCSW/LPC/LMFT) to join our remote outpatient team in Baytown, TX. You will conduct assessments, create individualized treatment plans, and deliver individual, family, and group therapies with a strong emphasis on cultural sensitivity.

You will collaborate with a multidisciplinary team, provide crisis intervention, educate patients and families, and document care in EHR systems.

Qualifications

• Master's or doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.
• Current and valid license as an LCSW, LPC, or LMFT in Texas.
• Proven knowledge of mental health disorders, treatment theories, and culturally responsive approaches.
• Experience in individual and group therapy with cultural sensitivity.
• Strong crisis intervention skills and ability to stay calm under pressure.
• Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to build rapport with diverse individuals.

Responsibilities

• Perform comprehensive mental health assessments using culturally relevant approaches.
• Develop and implement personalized treatment plans with evidence-based therapies.
• Facilitate individual, family, and group therapy sessions.
• Collaborate with psychiatrists, psychologists and other professionals for coordinated care.
• Provide crisis intervention and ongoing support during emergencies.
• Educate patients and families about mental health disorders and resources.
• Maintain accurate documentation in EHR systems and ensure regulatory compliance.
• Participate in case conferences and team trainings to enhance cultural competency.
• Stay informed about latest research and developments in mental health care.
