Job summary

Nemours Children’s Health is seeking a Laboratory Informatics & Technology Architect to lead strategy, design and delivery of technology solutions for laboratory medicine with a focus on digital pathology. The role is full-time and remote, requiring residence in approved states and 30% travel to Wilmington, DE and Orlando, FL.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree required.
• Minimum five or more years of information technology experience in large-scale environments.
• CIIP Certification required or must be obtained within 12 months of hire.
• Epic Beaker Anatomic Pathology certification strongly preferred.
• Strong communication skills and ability to explain complex concepts clearly.
• Experience with digital pathology, anatomic pathology workflows, imaging platforms, and LIS.
• Project management certification and/or experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead strategy, design, and delivery of technology solutions for laboratory medicine.
• Partner with pathologists, laboratory leaders, and IS teams to ensure secure, scalable, interoperable solutions.
• Develop roadmaps for laboratory applications, digital pathology platforms, and EMR integrations.
• Lead architecture design, development, and maintenance for lab applications and info systems.
• Establish governance processes such as Architecture Review Board and Data Governance.
• Provide vendor coordination, stakeholder engagement, and end-user adoption guidance.
• Drive issue resolution and long-term system planning; communicate findings clearly.
