Job summary

Nemours Children’s Health is seeking a Laboratory Informatics & Technology Architect for a full-time remote position. The role leads strategy and delivery of digital pathology and lab IT solutions, partnering with pathologists, lab leaders, vendors, and IS teams.

The candidate will guide architecture for lab applications, digital pathology platforms, and EMR integrations, while driving governance and long-term system planning. Travel to Wilmington, DE and Orlando, FL is required.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree required; internal candidates may be considered in lieu of education.
• Minimum of five or more years of information technology experience in large-scale environments.

Responsibilities

• Lead strategy and roadmap for laboratory applications and digital pathology platforms.
• Partner with pathologists, laboratory operations, vendors, and IS teams for imaging, storage, interoperability, and EHR integrations.
• Develop technology strategies and roadmaps for lab and EMR solutions aligning with enterprise goals.
• Lead enterprise architecture design for laboratory applications and information systems.
• Establish and maintain technology governance processes (e.g., Architecture Review Board, Data Governance).
• Research, evaluate, and select technology solutions; contribute to RFIs/RFPs and budget estimates.
• Provide strategic guidance for implementations, production support, vendor coordination, and stakeholder engagement.
