Job summary

Nemours Children's Health seeks a Laboratory Informatics & Technology Architect to lead strategy, design, and delivery of technology solutions for laboratory medicine, with a strong focus on digital pathology. The role requires residency in listed states and involves travel to Wilmington, DE and Orlando, FL.

The position partners with pathologists, lab leaders, and IS teams to ensure solutions are secure, scalable, and interoperable, while guiding architecture governance and long-term system

Qualifications

• Master's degree required; equivalent work experience considered for internal candidates.
• Minimum 5+ years of IT experience in large-scale environments.
• CIIP certification required or to be obtained within 12 months.
• Epic Beaker Anatomic Pathology certification strongly preferred.
• Experience with digital pathology, anatomic pathology workflows, imaging platforms, and LIS.

Responsibilities

• Lead strategy, design, and delivery of technology solutions for laboratory medicine and digital pathology.
• Partner with pathologists, lab leaders, vendors, and IS teams to ensure secure, scalable, interoperable solutions.
• Guide digital pathology initiatives and long-term system planning; mentor team members and coordinate with stakeholders.
• Establish governance processes, participate in RFI/RFP activities, and manage vendor relationships.
