Job summary

Jobot is seeking a Remote Labor & Employment Counsel or Partner specializing in California wage-and-hour matters. You will advise management on CA law and lead or assist in state and federal litigation and arbitration across the United States, working remotely from anywhere in the US.

We expect 5+ years of substantive labor and employment litigation experience, a portable book of business of $250k+, and the ability to handle both advisory work and litigation when needed.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of substantive labor and employment litigation experience, with CA wage and hour experience.
• Willingness to submit a DC Bar waiver application before start date.
• Portable book of $250k+ needed for Partners/Counsel.

Responsibilities

• Advise management-side clients on CA wage-and-hour, meal/rest breaks, and PAGA compliance.
• Serve as first- or second-chair in CA state and federal court litigation and arbitration.
• Defend EEO, discrimination, sexual harassment, restrictive covenant, and retaliation claims.
• Support nationwide commercial litigation practice and collaborate with DC-based partners.
