Job summary

Jobot is seeking a remote Labor & Employment Counsel or Partner (Wage & Hour) to lead California wage-and-hour matters and related EEO defenses. This role combines advisory work with litigation responsibilities, including first- and second-chair duties in CA state and federal court, with occasional travel.

The ideal candidate has 5+ years of substantive labor and employment litigation experience, CA wage-hour know-how, and is prepared to coordinate with a national practice on broader

Qualifications

• 5+ years of substantive labor and employment litigation experience, with CA wage-and-hour exposure.
• Willingness to submit a DC Bar waiver before start (CA admission can follow).

Responsibilities

• Advise management-side clients on California wage-and-hour, meal/rest breaks, and PAGA compliance.
• Serve as first- or second-chair in CA state and federal court litigation and arbitration; travel as needed.
• Defend EEO, discrimination, sexual harassment, restrictive covenant, and retaliation claims.
• Support the firm’s nationwide commercial litigation practice beyond CA matters.
• Share travel responsibilities with DC-based L&E and Litigation partners as needed.
